Activities in Donkeytown

Donkey and Wagon Rides

Some large donkeys can carry children under 70 lbs, led by parents. Tractor-pulled wagons can hold 6-8 kids. Please arrange these activities in advance; they are usually available during 3–4 day stays for easier scheduling.

Kayaking and Fishing

Children and adults of all ages can fish at Donkeytown. There are two spring-fed ponds: one is ¾ acre with a pier, bluegill, and largemouth bass; the other is a natural 2-acre pond with turtles, herons, eagles, catfish, and more. We provide three kayaks, a row boat, and plenty of life jackets.

Geode Hunting

Some large donkeys can carry children under 70 lbs, led by parents. Tractor-pulled wagons can hold 6-8 kids. Please arrange these activities in advance; they are usually available during 3–4 day stays for easier scheduling.

Hiking and Tree Climbing

The rear 20 acres feature picturesque wooded ravines, crisscrossed by hiking trails perfect for all ages. Children especially enjoy clambering over fallen logs or exploring the hollow trees. After it rains, the creek winding through the woods offers a great spot for play.

Egg Collecting

Guests of all ages love collecting eggs from the “hot chicks” at Donkeytown for their morning breakfast. We keep 25 chickens on our farm, and they typically produce enough eggs throughout the year to provide for all our guests. When you arrive, you’ll find a basket of fresh eggs waiting in your refrigerator.

Doll Graveyard

For 34 years, this farm served as the renowned Turner Doll Factory. Early visitors who explored the woods once stumbled upon a tree adorned with melted doll heads. Over time, more dolls were discovered scattered across the property, and each one was eventually placed in the graveyard.
